The One Piece ( Pieces ) That I Can’t Live Without

Anna here! I’m 158cm & 48kg.

Growing up as a tomboy-ish girl, I wouldn’t even imagine myself wearing jewelleries. I had my ups and downs on sticking to a personality, when I was a toddler I was all pink and girlish with Barbie, Little Pony & Disney princesses but during my teenage years I was so into sports & athleticism that I like my hair to be short and my outfits to be boy-ish to fit my interests. 😅

But as I grew older, I started wearing earrings and I have had my ears 👂 pierced

since I was in high school feeling like a cool kid haha 😎After meeting my husband, he preferred me to be more feminine of course 😂 and I grew fond of collecting more and more jewellery pieces.

I started my jewellery collection with Lovisa rings but I tend to wear them on occasional runs only because I am such a ‘lasak’ person and in my opinion, Lovisa jewelleries are not meant to last forever / tarnish free even though some of range are claimed as premium qualities.

I discovered more and more options nowadays as there are many local brands out there that offer good quality jewelleries. I always opt for timeless and dainty design without following to much chunky trend so I can easily match them with any kinds of outfits.

Of course we have the OGs like Habib, Wah Chan, Poh Kong, ‘kedai emas’ and luxury brands like Tiffany & Co or Cartier that offers high grade premium jewelleries plus diamonds but we do have local alternatives to those which are as great with cheaper price tags as well, for example Minimalist Lab, Pocket The Labels, PsyndromeMy, PlentyMy, Wanderlust Co and many more!

1. Necklaces ;

This piece is from Minimalist Lab, it’s so minimal as the name said 😅 but it’s the right length if you want to look classy ( just beneath your décolletage). Another alternative other than chunky ones if you’d want to look elegant on all occasions. Another one in my collection is Pop H Pendant from Hermes in Beige. It really is a classic piece that goes well with any outfit.

2. Bracelets ;

My daily wear bracelets have to be ‘lasak’ proof, waterproof and tarnish free as I do not like to take them on and off. Here are some of my go to brands when it comes to tahan lasak jewellery such as Habib, Poh Kong, Minimalist Lab, and Luvv The Label. From the higher end range is Tiffany & Co’s Tiffany Blue Heart Tag Bead Bracelet which is probably the only silver jewellery I own but I love it very much since it was a gift, it elevates the femininity in you especially when you wear dress or balloon sleeves. I love to stack my bracelets whenever I couldn’t decide which to wear and they do look cute and chic especially with open sleeves 🤍

3. Rings ;

Most of the 916 Gold Rings or white golds are meant to last for a long time, so if you’re someone who likes to wear your jewelleries at all time including in the shower you can check out Gold Jewellers (e.g. Habib), Tiffany & Co, Cartier or other designer jewellery makers for more durable materials and modern designs. My wedding ring was from Habib Jewellery, my engagement T wire ring was from Tiffany & Co and also cincin belah rotan from Habib Jewellery l.

4. Earrings ;

Since I like to take off to clean my earrings, I don’t mind getting some from Lovisa, while Minimalist Lab, Luvv The Label, Plenty My do have cool minimalistic designs which I really love. I even have some It’s still quite a maintenance having a lot of piercings and I still have them on. always clean the earrings with saline solution. Remember to also put your ears on rest for a day or two and some ointments so the piercings won’t get infected and too irritated.
