if you only have 2 days in Mexico City

If you’re visiting Mexico City, save this for inspo! 🇲🇽

Full 2 day itinerary

🇲🇽 DAY 1:

• Stay at Casa Pepe in the Centro Histórico

• This hostel is in a great location and walking distance to so much history and culture

• Also has amazing views of the city and a rooftop bar/restaurant

• Walk to the Catedral Metropolitana - it is free to enter but you can’t take any photos or videos inside

• Walk around the historical center - there is so much to see and learn about

• From there, walk or get a ride to the Palacio de Bellas Artes - you can pay to go inside or just walk around the surrounding park because it’s so beautiful

• Grab some street tacos for lunch - there are stands everywhere!

• Catch a ride about 45 minutes to Xochimilco

• Pay 500 pesos/hour to go on a historical boat ride down the river (also known as the floating gardens)

• Bring your own food and drinks or you can purchase them along the River - you can even pay a few pesos for a mariachi band to board your boat and play for you

• weekend evenings are the best time to go as the river is very busy and almost like one big floating party!

🇲🇽 Day 2:

• Stay in Roma or Condesa neighborhoods

• Wake up early and grab a coffee and pastry from one of the many panaderias in this area

• Now the choice is up to you: either head to Teotihuacan to check out the ancient ruins and pyramids OR walk to Chapultepec Park and visit the castle and the Museo Nacional de Antropologia

• You can spend so much time doing any of these activities, so definitely give yourself plenty of time to check them out

• At night, get yourself some tickets for a Lucha Libra (Mexican wrestling) show

• You can buy drinks and snacks and are sure to be thoroughly entertained!

• Afterwards, grab yourself some more street tacos (because you can never have too many!)
