COLOR TREATED HAIR HACK

Recently I went from a blonde balayage to black hair and I have some tips for preserving color and adding shine. Firstly, conditioner is your best friend. I use a deep conditioner once weekly as a mask/treatment and leave it on for about 30 minutes before I go into the shower to wash my hair.

Once you condition, you’re going to want to use a color safe sulfate free shampoo (please make sure it has no drying ingredients in it like sulfates this will strip the color right out).

‼️only shampoo your scalp not your ends‼️

After you rinse condition your ends with your favorite color safe conditioner and pat dry your hair with a microfiber towel. Microfiber is going to preserve the color of your hair and enhance the shine since your hair cuticle isn’t being damaged by rough towel drying.

Another great way to preserve your color and add shine is by using a shine spray. My favorite one is WOW dream coat. It creates a shield on your hair and protects against frizz/humidity while adding massive shine. Apply this product on damp hair.
