UR SIGN TO GET NAIL OVERLAY⭐️

i used to always get nail extensions because i loved the look of long nails but never had the time to properly grow them out. (also bcos my nails break very easily!) my nail tech introduced me to overlay and ever since then ive stopped getting extensions and have grown my nails out (till they look like extensions… everyone doubts me when i say my nails r real😅)

overlay is basically an extra thick layer that nail techs add that helps to create a thicker nail base and helps to extend the lifespan of ur manicure.

PROS👍🏻

- my nails NEVER break/crack when i have overlay. even with extensions, my nails tend to break very easily but with overlay it has never happened to me! i dont have to fret about my nails

- can save $$$!! extensions are EXPENSIVE… if u request for overlay its usually just a $5 add on to ur regular gel manicure price, which is still much less than paying for extensions. ive grown my nails out over 4 months with the help of overlay & it looks just like extensions

- application process is quicker than getting extensions

CONS👎🏻

- once u start overlay and decide to stop, ur nail can become pretty brittle. i suggest only doing overlay if u intend to consistently get a new set of nails back to back! for me i always have my nails done so it made sense for me to do it!

- if ur nails are short to begin with, u’d have to bear with getting manicure w ur short nails for a few months until it grows out to the length u like!
