Should I Confess?

OK, SO I recently felt attracted to a close friend that I met in poly!!!! AND I FEEL SO LOST & CONFUSED??? He is my guy best friend’s best friend (yes u read it right)

Back story: We happened to be attending the same university and decided to take the same class together last year. Before this we hung out as a group (trio friend group!) and only gotten closer recently.

1. All of us were supposed to go for a hike but our bestfriend couldn’t make it after rescheduling for the 2nd time. He decided to still bring me for the hike and I agreed! I was worried that it was going to be awkward since it’s the first time we’re hanging out without our friend. TO MY SURPRISE, we had such a good time together! Had many meaningful and deep conversations! One of the instances that made me felt attracted was that he offered to pay for lunch! NOT BECAUSE HE PAID BUT THE WAY HE DID IT! While I was ordering from my phone, he locked my screen, snatched it off and passed me his phone to order 🥹

2. The second time we hung out alone was an impromptu dinner! Our friend couldn’t make it and it ended up being just the two of us. At first he said he couldn’t make it due to a migraine but after i said i wanted to try this cafe (which was near his house), he said no more migraine HAHAHAHA wells, he said if he had to travel to our place, where me and our bestfriend stay, his migraine would worsen so yup we met for dinner. It was a great night! Not sure if he felt the same but that’s how I felt

Side story: something SMALL that happened during dinner was that the cafe’s table was a little small and hence when he leaned forward to talk to me while I was eating, his face was a little close to mine which made my heart pound ahhhhhh

My Concerns:

• Possibility of losing the friendship if I ever confess 👎🏻👎🏻

• I feel maybe I'm not his type: he prefers a girl who is sporty which I am not!!!

• he claims that he isn’t ready for a relationship

• he has plans to move overseas after graduation

Overall: He is such a genuine person and always makes me laugh! I often find myself chuckling at his unique and unpredictable remarks, even when they're just on text 🫣🫣

I’m planning on waiting for a couple of months/years and see how it goes. BUT what if he meets someone else or moves overseas and never comes back 😭😭

Please help me evaluate and let me know what you think!
