Sometimes, if you’re lucky, you come across a dress so good that you can’t quite believe that you only have a few months to wear it. That’s exactly how I felt about this dress I got from Reformation, and here’s how I styled it for fall.
Reformation dresses are a different breed. There’s something so good about them that it’s hard to put your finger on it. For me, this dress is everything I want. I love the poplin sleeves, the romantic corset-like top, and the a-line shape into a flowy bottom.
For fun, I paired this dress with these Marc Fisher knee-high boots, and I loved the look so much that I realized I could easily continue wearing this dress into fall. Pairing your favorite dress with a pair of boots is the first thing to try to see if you can extend the life of your dress. I paired this look with a pair of Cartier sunglasses. I love the classic shape and pop of gold.
The other way to style your favorite dress for fall, is by turning it into a skirt. If your dress has more fabric at the top, like mine, reach for an oversized sweater. Throwing this over top instantly transformed the look. The white flowy skirt is still a statement piece, while the sweater and boots combined make the perfect chic look for autumn.
What do you think of the final look? Would you wear this?
