READ THIS BEFORE GOING TO THE HAMPTONS THIS SUMMER

1. Book early, as in a few months! The best rentals go quickly and if you put it off you will only be left with expensive options. 🗓️

2. Most rentals prefer longer stays. If you’re looking to stay for 1 week-1 month, you will probably have more options to choose from rather than just a weekend. ⏳

3. In order to make it affordable you will have to fit multiple people in each room. Find a place with a basement that has room for a couple airbeds. 💸

4. Be open to inviting other people outside of your friend group. Most likely you will need a lot of people to fill a share house, so it’s a great way to make new friends. 👯‍♀️👯

5. The Hamptons is not walkable. Make a plan beforehand on how you’re getting around. If you don’t want to uber or rent a car, find a house close to the spots you know you’ll be frequenting. (Ubers from Southampton to Montauk take 1.5 hours and can get up to $150, even more during holidays) 🚘

6. If renting a car, I highly suggest you do your grocery and alcohol shopping in NYC or wherever you’re driving from. Not only is eating out every day expensive, during peak months it can be really difficult to find reservations for large groups last minute. 🛒
