what I’ve learned in the first two months

my baby is 2 months old (cryyyying) and I’ve learned some things that I maybe forgot with my first or just didn’t know until my second!

Babies move around and fuss in their sleep sometimes BUT it doesn’t always mean they’re waking up. It means they are changing sleep cycles! I’ve learned to not pick my baby up immediately because sometimes it will seem like he’s waking up but he actually isn’t.

Routines are so important to them. It’s important that they know what’s coming! They are so teeny tiny and only know you so a routine for them is essential.

Newborns do play but not like a toddler or older baby would play! Their play time is kicking on the floor, coo’ing or “talking” to you, tummy time, and smiling.
