Get ready with me 💅🏻✨

I don’t know what it is about it, but I truly love getting ready for the day ✨ I love the process of doing my skincare, my makeup, putting on all of the finishing touches. There’s just something about it that makes me feel so much better, more confident, and just ready for whatever the day has in store.

Even though I work from home full time, there are still days that I truly love going through my whole routine as though I’m leaving the house or going to an event. There’s something about that routine, the process, that really just makes me feel more connected with myself 🤍

Everyone has their own routines and their own preferences, but I personally love seeing other creators’ “get ready with me” content. So I figured I would share a little breakdown of my own process:

Skincare 🧖🏻‍♀️🫧

You all know I love my skincare routine 💁🏻‍♀️ For days that I’m going to wear makeup, I tend to keep my morning skincare routine on the lighter side. I’ll start with a cleanser to make sure my face is fully clean, go in with my brightening serum, and my niacinamide serum to keep my pores from getting clogged with makeup during the day. And, last but not least, we can’t forget that SPF 🧴☀️

Makeup & hair 💋

This is one of my favorite parts of getting ready for the day. I’ll sit down at my desk, pick some YouTube content to watch, and just spend some “me time” getting ready for the day. I’ll play around with my makeup a little bit and try out new techniques or color combinations for eyeshadows, I’ll curl my hair, and just relax 💁🏻‍♀️✨

Perfume & finishing touches ✨

You all know I love my perfume collection 🫶🏻 It’s something I’ve curated over time and each perfume has a different “vibe” to me. So I’ll pick out a specific perfume for whatever mood I’m in or going for for the day. I usually pick vanilla-based perfumes (like this Philosophy one) for when I’m working from home because it just makes me feel cozy but still put together 🤍 After that, I’ll make sure to pick out my jewelry and accessories for the day so my pieces don’t get tarnished by spraying perfume over them.

Outfit 👢

Even as an adult, it’s fun to play dress up 🎀 Sometimes I’ll get fully dressed (like I did today) to try out a new outfit or get some inspiration, and sometimes I’ll pick out one of my cute loungewear sets to be comfy but still put together.
