📍Cracker Lake, Glacier National Park, Montana

🥾 12 miles out & back, 1,650 ft of elevation gain

🎟️ You don’t need a permit to hike this trail, but you DO need a permit to access the Many Glacier area of the park after 6 AM this season.

🎒 If you want to backpack this trail, there are 3 designated camping areas (thus, 3 nightly permits). You can apply in advance, or try for a day of or day before permit. This is what we did.

🏊‍♀️ Swimming in this lake is VERY cold. Like… headache inducing cold. Be incredibly cautious if you do choose to go in.

🧥 Make sure to bring layers, because it can get very windy at the lake!
