Courting in the Godly way

When I met my partner as our first courting relationship. We want to do it right even though we are a long distance couple we can still fail to do right in God’s eyes if we don’t read His word right.

So to court or be courted is to…:

1: being intimate- not on a physical level like “doing the do” but on a spiritual and emotional level. To be intimate to touch places that are unseen from the physical eyes. Like past hurts, family issues, even self struggles that you may face. First give it to God and God can use your partner as a vessel to help you through that hurt and healing process.

2: being pursued-”He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.“ Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭22‬ ‭NIV‬‬ a Man of God should always pursue things that are Holy in God’s eyes a woman should be dwelling in the Holiness of God’s heart to be found and pursued as a wife. God will let both parties know how they should proceed if pursuing and being pursued.

3:Love- most Godly relationship starts when they are friends and have a bond with each other (platonic) share a bond and interest with each other before you start trying to “put a ring on it” be best friends before “bed friends”. That’s where pure love comes from where they love you for your heart,mind and personality over anything else.

Reminder: that courting is a process of staying abstinent and staying pure as you get to know one another before getting married. It’s not like dating where you can set a date and see how long you can tolerate that person. Courting is more precious and delicate.
