A tiny peek into dating with ADHD

There’s nothing like a story to grab the attention of someone with ADHD.

My name is April and I have ADHD while my partner of 6 years (husband of 3 years) does not.

Back when we were in our first year of dating, I was of course aware I had ADHD, but had no clue just how influential the diagnosis was on my relationship.

There was dopamine galore in the beginning.

The text messages, exciting date nights, newness non stop, etc. What some don’t realize is that it’s not the relationship necessarily that is getting “worse” or fading… it’s the wearing off of the initial dopamine from everything being so new and exciting.
