Here’s your reminder that you deserve to be celebrated too! After having 2 daughters I’ve realized that celebrating a first birthday is a huge milestone not only for the baby but also for the parents. The day before both first birthdays, I had a moment of clarity as my melancholy mind reminisced about the past year of motherhood. I finally gave myself grace & reflected on my transformative journey of new motherhood. I was no longer the person I was before motherhood, I was a new version of myself that I was proud of. After a rough postpartum journey, I was determined to level up & build back better. It was important to me to celebrate that journey. Yes, I worked day & night to create a special DIY 1st birthday celebration not only for my baby but for myself. My closest friends & family joined in celebrating US. So, if your baby is approaching their first birthday, don’t forget to reflect not only on the challenges but the triumphs too. Do something to celebrate yourself, even if it’s as simple as a champagne toast at your baby’s party. How did you feel when your baby’s first birthday approached?
