Bookshelf styling tips

Today’s post is all about -if I may say- the star of the show (the living area), my all-white Ikea Enetri bookshelf. ☁️✨

I was actually looking for a neutral shelving system that would look cute, but without the commitment of drilling into the wall, and this was just the perfect solution! I managed to score it on eBay for 250 $ from the sweetest old lady, and I couldn’t be happier! 🥹

I love changing up the decor on it, it serves as the perfect base for colourful little knickknacks. Whenever I am in a mood for a little experimenting, I follow these simple tips:

💐 When in doubt, add flowers! It’s such an easy way to change up the look of the shelves and you can play around with different arrangements.

🍡 Don't be afraid to mix colors, materials and textures! It really helps with adding some personality. I always say MORE IS MORE.

💖 Think about the composition. Play with proportions and sizes but keep in mind which items are the „dominant“ and which aren’t.

I love to place dominant items like my Flowerpot lamp (tall, dark) off-center, for a more interesting effect.
